The 6 Days Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Golden Monkey treks were specially created for tourists that are excited about Primates’ adventurous tracking expeditions. You will be exposed to see several Gorillas and Chimpanzees such as the Golden Monkey and Colobus Monkey amongst others.

Detailed itinerary
- Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Welcome to Day 1! Our dedicated driver/guide will be waiting for you at the Kigali International Airport to pick you up once you arrive.
Also, based on the time you arrive, there will be an opportunity for you to visit other locations in Kigali to check out the beautiful craft, fabrics and poetry items being sold. Don’t forget to bargain as much as you can, and remember that every item purchased will be paid by you.
Afterwards you will set out for one of the largest forests in East and Central Africa, which is the Nyungwe Forest National Park.
- Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking/canopy walk/nature walk/birding.
Immediately after breakfast, the driver will move everyone to the park headquarters to meet the park ranger to get required updates and briefing and then drop you off at the location for the chimpanzee trail and return later in the day to convey you to the venue for lunch.
Dinner and overnight lodge will take place at Crate Safari Lodge.
- Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Day 3 begins with an exciting drive to the spectacular Volcanoes National Park. On the way to the park, the driver will stop over for every tourist to have the opportunity to take photographs and also have lunch. The day will end with overnight stay at Mountain Gorillas view Hotel
- Day 4: Gorilla tracking and visiting twin lakes.
We will commence the day with breakfast and proceed on a journey to visit the twin lakes. The trip will take us through different routes and you might get to see tree climbing lions and other kinds of animals.
- Day 5: Golden monkey’s tracking/Dian Fossey Grave Hike/Iby’lwacu cultural tour.
After the early morning breakfast today, you will have the option of either going for the golden monkey tracking or the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke research centre. It was formerly the base of the late Dian, who was an American anthropologist.
- Day 6: Transfer to Kigali city for tour and departure.
Time can really run so fast when you’re having fun. It’s Day 4, setting out for Kigali which happens to be one of the most perfect ambiences for vacation and it’s a home of hospitality for several tourists.
It’s a strategic location at the very centre of the country makes it very ideal to start and end a tour in Rwanda. Upon arriving at Kigali, you are at liberty to explore some other locations for shopping and sightseeing before departing for the airport which depends on the time for your flight
