This 7 Days Rwanda-Uganda Gorilla and Chimp Trekking Safari is a uniquely packaged tour which includes activities such as golden monkey, trip to Volcanoes National Park and also Bwindi Forest National Park and many more. The tour will kick-off in Rwanda and be concluded in Uganda
Tour Highlights
- Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes NP

Detailed itinerary
- Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the Airport or from your hotel, the driver will be on standby to take you round for the city tour. You will be able to visit the Genocide Memorial Centre and many other sites such as Local markets and other places. Afterwards, you will be conveyed to Volcanoes National Parkand also be able to view the Virunga mountains. Overnight lodge and feeding has been scheduled for Muhabura Hotel
- Day 2: 1st Gorilla Trekking Adventure and cultural walk.
In the morning, shortly after breakfast, you will proceed for a short update from the park’s headquarters and afterwards proceed to the bamboo forest. You will have duration of about 1hour to observe, watch the animals and take pictures. Later in the evening, you will have the option to go for a community walk in the neighbouring village.
- Day 3: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Bwindi NP.
The tour guide will be available in the morning to lead you to the venue of the golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes NP. Afterwards, you will embark on the journey across the border to Bwindi NP in Uganda. Overnight stay and dinner is scheduled for Gorilla Safari Lodge
- Day 4: 2nd Gorilla Tracking and transfer to Ishasha sector.
In the morning, you will gather at the park headquarters for a briefing, and go straight into the forest to search for the gentle giants. You will be allowed one hour to stay in the presence of the gorillas, as you observe and take photographs. On return, you will transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP. Dinner and overnight at your Ishasha Wilderness Camp (luxury)/ Ishasha Jungle lodge (deluxe).
In the morning, shortly after breakfast, you will proceed for a short update from the park’s headquarters and afterwards proceed to the forest to shout for gentle giants. You will have a duration of about 1hour to observe the gorillas and take photographs. Subsequently, you will embark on a journey to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP. Overnight stay and dinner will take place in the same location
- Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise
After breakfast in the morning, the driver will be available to take all tourists to the Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha to have a full view of the tree climbing lions. Afterwards, everyone would embark on a trip for a boat cruise close to the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight lodge is scheduled to take place at the Mweya Safari Lodge
- Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest NP and chimp trekking
Welcome to day 6. Shortly after breakfast in the morning, you will embark on a journey to Kibale Forest NP. Later in the afternoon, you will be guided to attend the chimp trekking activities. Dinner and Overnight stay has been scheduled for Crater Safari Lodge
- Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali/Kampala and departure.
It’s Day 7 already! After breakfast, the driver will be available to take you to the Entebbe Airport and set for departure.
